Panagor 135mm f2.8 (silver band version)
A very interesting and capable oldie. Made by Kino precision company. Can be had for next to nothing.
Pros:
- excellent optical performance in portrait range
- very solid build, smooth focus
- no distorsion!
- minimum focus 1.3m (compared to the 1.5 of most of its contempories)
- very common in the used marked and therfore very cheap
- vignetting just 1 stop @ f2.8 at extreme borders, 0,5 stop @f4
Cons:
- some contrast loss at full aperture
- some CA in difficult lighting conditions
See below for some sample images made with my EOS 5D and also a few 100% crops |
